Sears, Roebuck and Co. Catalog from 1948 - Fur Coats

Ok, maybe I'm a snob. But a fur coat from Sears? Really? And then you chose from Muskrat or Coney? And let's not talk about Lynx-Marked or Persian Lamb Paws. Ewwww!

Sears, Roebuck and Co. Catalog from 1948

Ok kids, next in the line up is the 1948 Fall-Winter catalog from Sears. This is 900 plus pages of all sorts of goodies, we'll start with the ladies.

It's odd, but the Woman's section was almost all in black and white, other sections featured color pages. But if you click twice to enlarge these you'll see all sorts of good details. And remember these are regular, everyday clothes that women really wore...not movie stars or fashion models, but our mothers and grandmothers.
