Not quite sure what link they are trying to make between beauty and "monthly disturbances", but I would like to know what was in Lydia's potion. I'm betting either chocolate or alcohol - possibly both!
In its original formula, which was extremely popular during Prohibition, you would have found 40% alcohol! Plus a very large portion of natural herbal compounds, used for hundreds of years to treat a variety of women's "complaints" that eventually gynecologists took over treating with "modern medical care."
