Maybe this lacked marketing finesse, but it sure would have cured Gap-osis!

Ladies Who Lunch - Afternoon Ensembles from 1939
I'm thinking these are club ladies who meet regularly to better themselves. And heaven forbid you shouldn't show up (and be well dressed), or they'll spend the whole afternoon talking about YOU!

New Goodies coming soon!
I have a TON of new stuff to share with you, but I'm having a problem. I spent some of the profits and bought a new laptop (a shiny white MacBook!), but the new computer doesn't like my old scanner, so till I can get these two on speaking terms I can't show you any of the new goodies. So stick around and see what happens!

Sewing Equipment - Put your name on each piece!
I found this inside a pattern the other day...and yes, she had written her name on each pattern piece! I think this teacher had stock in the Wiss company. Oh, and a seam ripper is much safer than a razor blade. Do you think kids are allowed to bring razor blades to school these days? Or even pins?

A Dainty Lingerie Blouse - 1906
I can never figure out how they managed that look. Corsets I understand, but what made that pouter pigeon mono-bust? Stuffing?
However, "The present blouse is as fine and elaborate as human fingers can fashion".
