Aprons - Glamorous and Practical
McCall's Needlework & Crafts magazine from 1956 shows apron patterns worthy of your time. The Bavarian style asks for a lot of cross stitching. But the iron-on roses are easier and the pattern makes up for "mature figures".

OMG, not only do you make the apron.. then you embroider it and then... if your me...you slop gravy on it !!

I know! I often think that with baby clothes too. You do a TON of delicate handwork, and then the little brat spits up and poops on everything. :-)
