Aprons - Glamorous and Practical

McCall's Needlework & Crafts magazine from 1956 shows apron patterns worthy of your time. The Bavarian style asks for a lot of cross stitching. But the iron-on roses are easier and the pattern makes up for "mature figures".

  1. OMG, not only do you make the apron.. then you embroider it and then... if your slop gravy on it !!
    wonderful thoughts but no thanks.
    Love your site!!

  2. I know! I often think that with baby clothes too. You do a TON of delicate handwork, and then the little brat spits up and poops on everything. :-)

  3. Not me, I never spill on my handmade princess silhouette dress aprons. What would my husband think!
