Dressmaking Made Easy - 1935

A glimpse at this instruction book put out by the McCall Company in 1935. I've included a few of the pages for techniques you'd need to master. Also they think electric sewing machines might be a good idea.

  1. I might get me one of them electric machines! Imagine enjoying everything I do.

  2. And being able to see everything too!

  3. An electric machine does sound like a good idea!

I've never seen a pattern marked with that double line that you cut between. Interesting!

The false binding is a new concept to me. I might have to experiment with it.
